Our Community Standard

Mapenzi Connect is built on dignity, respect, and intentional connection.

This Code of Conduct outlines how members are expected to behave when using our app, attending events, or interacting with others through any Mapenzi Connect platform.

By joining Mapenzi Connect, you agree to uphold these standards and contribute to a respectful and well held community.

Respect and Dignity

All members are expected to treat one another with kindness, courtesy, and respect.

This includes:

• Listening without judgment

• Communicating honestly and thoughtfully

• Respecting differences in background, beliefs, and life experiences

Disrespectful, dismissive, or demeaning behavior is not acceptable.

Honesty and Authenticity

Members are expected to present themselves truthfully.

This means:

• Using accurate information in profiles

• Being clear about intentions

• Not misrepresenting age, identity, relationship status, or circumstances

Trust is essential to meaningful connection and dishonesty undermines the community.

Consent and Boundaries

Respect for personal boundaries is fundamental.

Members must:

• Respect a ‘no’ without pressure or persuasion

• Avoid unwanted advances, messages, or contact

• Accept disengagement gracefully

Consent must be clear, mutual, and ongoing in all interactions.

Communication and Conduct

We encourage warm, open, and respectful conversation.

The following are not permitted:

• Harassment, intimidation, or coercion

• Sexualized, aggressive, or explicit communication without consent

• Hate speech, discrimination, or derogatory language

• Persistent messaging after a clear lack of interest

Safety and Responsibility

Mapenzi Connect provides a curated and moderated space, but personal responsibility remains essential.

Members are responsible for:

• Their own decisions and interactions

• Exercising judgment when communicating or meeting others

• Following Safety and Community Guidelines when arranging offline meetings

No platform can guarantee complete safety and members are expected to act with care.

Appropriate Use of the Platform

Mapenzi Connect is intended for personal connection and community engagement.

The platform may not be used for:

• Financial solicitation or scams

• Commercial promotion without permission

• Manipulation, exploitation, or deceptive practices

• Illegal or harmful activities

Events and In Person Interactions

When attending Mapenzi Connect events, members are expected to:

• Conduct themselves respectfully toward all attendees and hosts

• Respect personal space and boundaries

• Follow event guidelines and venue rules

Disruptive or inappropriate behavior at events may result in removal and account review.

Reporting Concerns

Members are encouraged to report behavior that violates this Code of Conduct.

Reports are handled confidentially and reviewed with care. Retaliation against anyone who raises a concern is not tolerated.

Enforcement

Violation of this Code of Conduct may result in:

• Warnings

• Temporary suspension

• Permanent removal from the platform

Mapenzi Connect reserves the right to take action where behavior compromises the wellbeing, dignity, or trust of the community.

Mapenzi Connect is not about perfection. It is about showing up with care, honesty, and respect.

We believe real connections are built when people feel seen, heard, and safe enough to be themselves. This Code of Conduct exists to protect that experience for everyone.
